1. Installation Environment Requirements for Dry-Type Transformers
Dry-type transformers are generally used indoors and are more environmentally friendly and safer than oil-immersed transformers. However, they still have certain requirements for the installation environment:
1. Ambient Temperature Requirements
• Maximum ambient temperature: +40°C
• Minimum ambient temperature: -25°C (low-temperature resistant models are available for special environments)
• Daily average temperature not exceeding +30°C
• Altitude: Generally not exceeding 1000 meters (special models are required for high altitudes)
2. Ventilation and Heat Dissipation
• The installation site should be well ventilated, and sufficient space around the transformer for heat dissipation should be provided:
o Sides: at least 0.8-1 meter
o Top: at least 1.2 meters
• **If necessary, install a forced air cooling device (fan)** to enhance heat dissipation
3. Air Quality
• The air should be clean, free of corrosive gases and conductive dust
• The humidity should not be too high. Avoid prolonged exposure to humid environments (relative humidity < 0.5°C). 90% (
4. Floor and Foundation)
• The floor should be firm, level, and able to support the weight of the equipment.
• An anti-vibration foundation or shock-absorbing pads should be installed to prevent vibration.
5. Fire Prevention Requirements
• Although dry-type transformers do not contain oil, they can still short-circuit or overheat and cause fire.
• They should be located away from flammable and explosive materials.
• The installation location should be equipped with necessary fire-fighting equipment (such as fire extinguishers and smoke detectors).
II. Daily Maintenance of Dry-Type Transformers
Dry-type transformer maintenance primarily involves preventive maintenance, supplemented by real-time monitoring to ensure long-term operation in good condition.
Precautions
• Do not disassemble or clean transformer components while they are powered on.
• Regularly record operating data such as temperature, load, voltage, and current for trend analysis.
• If any abnormalities such as tripping, overheating, or unusual noise are detected, immediately shut down the power supply for inspection.
